There were several things of interest I was able to do while in the UK this summer. One of the best parts of the mission trip is getting to meet Christians from around the world. I think strengthening these relationships is very important and of course lots of fun too. Circumstances allowed me to catch up with many friends both old and new this summer.

Pictured to the right are Mhalbe, Jay-Ar, and David, three new friends I made at Camp Shamrock. They are students at the British Bible School. After camp, they invited me to their home in Corby, England where the Bible School is. I've been coming to the UK for 15 years, but had never visited the Bible School, so I was quick to accept the invitation, and I had a great time there.

Mhalbe and Jay-Ar returned to London with me on the way to Bristol. We spent two nights in London then travelled to Bristol where I got to catch up with Peter and James H, friends from British Bible Camp and I stayed for Church on Sunday where I got to see several other friends.

Back in London, Mhalbe by the Thames River/Tower Bridge.

While in London, we did a little sightseeng. Above: Brad and Mhalbe on the tube. Right: Mhalbe in front of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre where we saw a production of Romeo and Juliet. From London, we travelled to Bristol, England(pictured below).
Mhalbe delivered an excellent sermon on Love at the Bedminster Church on Sunday night. Mhalbe is from the Phillipines and plans to return there to work with the Church when he graduates next year.
Pictured here are Jason, Moses, James, Peter, and Mhalbe in front of the Bedminister Church in Bristol. Jason is the Youth Minister in Bristol.
Although not a part of GBO, while in the UK I designed the sound for The Jammer by Rolin Jones which ran for the month of August at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in Scotland. I was able to be there for the first week of performances.
In Bristol while waiting for Peter to get off work, James took me to the tower commemorating John Cabot's discovery of North America. Thanks, James and Peter for a great time in Bristol.
While I was in Edinburgh, it was great to spend some time with long time friends Bob and Jan. Bob was one of the original board members for the British Bible Camp. A highlight of each day was the walk to Xander's, Bob and Jan's sandwich shop and trying the wonderful variety of sandwich spreads they had available. If ever you are in Edinburgh, be sure to pay them a visit on the Lothian Road.
A special treat my last weekend in Edinburgh was when the Bullock family came to visit and see my play. The Bullocks were also a part of the British Bible camp when it began. As you can see from the photo, The Bullocks + Bob & Jan + me = lots of fun!
